to promote the conservation and stewardship of soil, water, woodlands and wildlife habitat in Franklin County through providing outreach, education and technical services.

FRANKLIN COUNTY SOIL & WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT

Positive Impacts

The district provides educational workshops on various natural resource topics to all ages.

The district provides services and referrals to farmers, landowners, and the public.

The district partners with USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS), Cooperative Extension, non-profits, and private businesses to promote conservation of Maine's natural resources.

 

 

The role of Soil & Water Conservation Districts

The Franklin County Soil & Water Conservation District is a Not-For-Profit Organization. Proceeds from our fund-raising efforts are used for our educational programs and outreach to promote conservation of our natural resources. The Franklin County SWCD (Soil and Water Conservation District) is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
