WHITEWATER RIVER WATERSHED PROJECT

A Section 319 Water Quality grant was awarded to Dearborn and Franklin County SWCD's for the southern Whitewater River Watershed for the purposes of developing a watershed management plan for the Whitewater River and for education & outreach.  In addition to the 319 matching grant, IDEM is conducting a 12 month TMDL (Total Maximum Daily Load) water sampling project throughout the southern Whitewater River Watershed beginning in the Fall 2013.  This project will provide a baseline for developing the watershed management plan. More information regarding the 319 grant will be available in early 2014.  For more information regarding the TMDL visit the IDEM website at:  http://www.in.gov/idem/nps/3912.htm
